The light chaser behind the studio
I’m Yancy Villatoro, a Houston maternity photographer based in Cypress, TX, specializing in sculpted studio portraits that honor the strength and beauty of motherhood.
With more than 15 years of experience as a professional photographer, I have developed a signature approach centered on intentional lighting, thoughtful posing, and personal direction. My work has earned international recognition in maternity photography, but the experience I create for each mother remains at the center of everything I do.
You don’t need to know how to pose or feel comfortable in front of the camera. I guide you through every detail, from wardrobe and movement to expression and lighting, so you can simply experience the session and see yourself differently

My private photography studio in Cypress serves expecting mothers throughout Houston, Katy, The Woodlands, Tomball, Spring, and surrounding areas. The studio provides a comfortable, controlled environment where we can create everything from soft and minimal portraits to dramatic, editorial maternity images.

Before your session, we refine your wardrobe, styling, and creative direction. Whether you prefer soft and minimal, dramatic, or editorial maternity portraits, we design the session around you while staying true to my signature style

Your maternity photoshoot takes place in my private Cypress studio, where I guide you through posing, movement, expression, and every detail in between. Professional studio lighting allows me to shape each portrait intentionally while you focus on enjoying the experience
Why Studio Maternity Photography
Studio maternity photography gives us complete control over lighting, posing, styling, and privacy. Unlike an outdoor session, we are not dependent on weather, changing light, or crowded locations. This allows every portrait to be created intentionally around you.
In my private Cypress maternity studio, professional lighting is used to sculpt the body, highlight your pregnancy, and create depth and dimension. With multiple lighting techniques, wardrobe options, and a clean studio environment, we can create several different looks within one session, from soft and minimal to dramatic and editorial.
Most importantly, you do not need modeling experience. I guide your hands, posture, expression, and movement throughout the session so you never have to wonder what to do in front of the camera
